# Career I’m Deep — a design engineer focused on building thoughtful, high-quality software. My work has always lived between design and engineering. I care deeply about how products feel, how they work, and how small details shape the overall experience. For me, great software is not just functional — it is clear, fast, refined, and built with intention. Over the years, I’ve worked across product design, frontend engineering, and full-stack product development. That mix has shaped how I approach building: I think in systems, obsess over details, and care about turning ideas into polished products people actually enjoy using. ## Now I’m currently building **Resurf**, a macOS-first personal library for capturing and resurfacing things that matter — links, notes, images, files, and ideas. Resurf reflects a lot of what I care about: - calm, native-feeling user experiences - fast and intentional workflows - local-first thinking - strong product taste - tools that support everyday thinking and creativity As an indie founder, I work across every part of the product — design, engineering, product strategy, branding, launch, and iteration. ## Previously In the past, I’ve worked with teams such as **Profound**, **Endex**, and **Mintlify**. Those experiences shaped how I think about design engineering: combining product thinking, interface craft, and technical execution to create software that feels polished, useful, and intentional. My background has always blended: - product design - frontend engineering - full-stack development - design systems - rapid prototyping - zero-to-one product building Earlier on, I also built an open-source local-first AI chat app focused on multi-provider support, deep research workflows, and agent orchestration. ## What I care about I care about building software that feels: - clear - fast - polished - useful - deeply considered I’m especially drawn to products at the intersection of creativity, tooling, and new technology. I enjoy crafting interfaces, building design systems, prototyping ideas quickly, and engineering products end-to-end. A lot of my work revolves around: - personal knowledge and memory - creative and productivity tools - AI-native interfaces - local-first software - developer tools - systems-driven product design ## How I work I like working close to the product. That often means moving across: - idea exploration - interface design - prototyping - engineering - product strategy - launch and iteration I enjoy taking products from zero to one and refining them until they feel alive. Sometimes the most important work is in the architecture. Sometimes it is in a one-line interaction detail. Both matter. I care about details like typography, spacing, motion, states, consistency, accessibility, and performance just as much as I care about architecture and systems. Good software is the result of all of these things working together. ## On design engineering To me, design engineering is not just about bridging design and code. It is about: - crafting experiences with care - thinking in systems - experimenting quickly - making ambitious ideas real - keeping quality high as products scale AI has made this role even more exciting. It gives builders more leverage than ever to explore, prototype, and build quickly. But I still believe the real advantage comes from judgment — knowing what to build, what to simplify, and how to make something feel coherent. Tools change. Taste, clarity, and execution matter in every era. ## Looking ahead I want to keep building software that leaves a lasting impression — products that are useful, beautiful, and made with care. I’m especially interested in the future of creative tools, AI-assisted workflows, and software that supports human thought rather than competing with it. That’s the kind of work I want to keep doing.
